Ready for the Pinewood Derby?

Car-Number-4-Logo

Hello Pack 399 parents!

Are your Scouts ready for the big race? Are you?

Don’t forget: Tomorrow night is the Pinewood Derby. We’ll be meeting in the Violet cafeteria, as usual. Weigh in starts at 6:00 p.m. The derby begins at 7:00. Once everyone arrives, we’ll take a headcount and order pizzas.

If school is cancelled due to snow, the new weigh in/race date will be Tuesday, February 23.

Good luck!

Best,

Becky T.

Happy New Year!

Winter-Snowman-1

Hello Pack 399!

Are you enjoying the long winter break? (Winter? Yeah, right.)

Parents, our committee meeting is Monday, January 4 (7 p.m. at the Hill Road McDonald’s). All are welcome to attend.

We look forward to seeing Scouts and parents on Tuesday, January 12, at our first den meeting of 2016.

If you missed the pack meeting in December, here’s a link to our latest Fridge Notes. Print it out and hang it on your fridge, so you never miss a beat.

Have a safe and happy NYE celebration! See you in January!

Best,

Becky T.

Popcorn & COSI: Important Reminders

A couple important reminders for the Pack!

scout_popcorn

First, I need your popcorn orders by tomorrow (Saturday, November 7) so I can begin matching inventory with the order forms. Only five families have brought me their order forms. The popcorn sale officially ends tomorrow, November 7. My deadline for placing online orders is just days away. No time to lose!

COSI

Second, we now have five parents and their Scouts attending the COSI Camp-in (beginning Friday night, November 13). Any more takers? I must reserve our spot tomorrow (November 7). If I don’t hear from you by today, the window will close. Don’t miss the boat!

Enjoy your weekend!

Best,

Becky T.

Popcorn Sale Update!

Great news to report. So far, our pack has sold over $1,500 worth of popcorn at our storefront sales!

In fact, we nearly sold out of product, until a pack in Dublin kindly restocked us by handing over their excess supply.

We have two more storefront sales to go. Scouts, if you’re working, be sure to wear your uniforms and greet everyone you see!

The next two weekends are critical. Friends and family, online sales, door to door — whatever it takes! Our biggest seller last year sold over $600 worth of popcorn. Can you beat him? (Have you already?)

Happy selling! Thanks so much to everyone for all your hard work!

Best,
Becky Tumidolsky

Are You Ready for the Fall Camporee (Zombie Apocalypse)?

Leave no trace

Hi Pack 399 Parents,

You’ve probably received an email from our committee chair, Lois Griffin, asking for RSVPs for the Fall Camporee, October 17-18. Whether you’re just dropping by for a couple hours Saturday or staying the entire time, it’s crucial we get your RSVP by 5:00 p.m. this Friday, October 9.

Want more info on the event? Click here.

If you do decide to stay overnight Saturday, you’ll get back to Pickerington by about noon on Sunday the 18th.

No need to bring food or an entry fee — just Cubs accompanied by their parents. Don’t forget your tents, pillows, sleeping bags and/or blankets, and weather-appropriate clothing. If you are camping with us, we suggest you leave Pickerington around 7 a.m. Saturday to get to Camp Falling Rock and set up your campsite before the full day of activities kicks in at 10 a.m.

No tent? No problem. We can borrow one for you.

Questions? Email Lois or Jeff.

Thanks, and have a great week!

Becky T.
