Cubmaster – Jeff Vandenbark

Jeff V

Hello Pack 399,

My name is Jeff Vandenbark, and I have been asked to take over as Cubmaster of Pack 399. I would like to give you a little information about myself.

I am proud to be an Eagle Scout and have been a registered Scout/Scouter for 48 years, with 29 of those years as an active Scouter in Pickerington with Troop 26. Recently I stepped down as Scoutmaster of Troop 26 but remain active as an Assistant Scoutmaster. I also spent time with Pack 26 when my son, an Eagle Scout, started in Cub Scouts. I became his Tiger Cub Den Leader and progressed with him as his den leader all the way through his crossover to Boy Scouts.

In addition to being a den leader, I have served as Assistant Cubmaster for two years and Cubmaster for two years. I am proud to say that I have spent most of my life giving back to the Boy Scouts of America and really enjoy being involved in the development of young men and watching them become the future leaders of our country.

In addition to my scouting background, I am also very active in the Native American culture. I sing on a very traditional southern Native American Powwow drum that travels a four state area during the spring, summer and fall. I spend free time doing traditional Native American bead work. I enjoy doing a little woodworking and have been remodeling the condominium my wife Jamie and I live in.

I am a CPA and have spent most of my career in the banking and insurance industry doing financial reports. I am currently employed by the State of Ohio, Department of Insurance as an examiner/analyst.

Yours in Scouting,

Jeffrey (Jeff) Vandenbark

Eagle Scout
