May 16 Trip to the Wilds!

Hello Pack 399 parents!

I have some breaking information for you about our planned trip to the Wilds on May 16. Listen up!

I’ve heard from just two families. The deadline to make a reservation for our group tour is Friday, May 1! We’ll have a signup sheet at the pack meeting this coming Tuesday, April 28.

Second, May 16 is a special day at the Wilds!

It just happens to be Wildsfest, where there will be games, prizes, bounce houses, animal encounters, and Scout activities galore. The fire department will be there, teaching about forest fire safety. All of that for a $5 wristband! And that’s in addition the the safari tour we’ll be taking.

You won’t want to miss this!

If you know you’re going to the Wilds, let me know how many will be in your party. If you’re thinking about it, let me know soon!

Hello Pack 399 parents,

We have important updates for you across the board.

  • We’ve made big changes to the pack website. New information, new volunteer signups — Hope you’ll drop by soon.
  • You can always find the latest pack news in the right-hand column of every page on the site.
  • We will welcome a new Cubmaster at the end of this school year. We’ll introduce Jeff Vandenbark on the home page very soon.
  • We’ll have our first committee meeting with Jeff and Tri-Creek District Commissioner Lois Griffin on Monday, April 20 at 7:00 pm at the newly renovated Hill Road McDonald’s. All parents are encouraged to attend! We’ll be setting an agenda for the spring and summer, including a recruiting drive and fun Scout activities.

And, last but not least:

I need to hear from each and every parent about the May 16 pack outing to the Wilds. Who’s interested and available? I need to know before I can plan for a Scouting adventure there. Please, please, PLEASE contact me ASAP, or leave a comment below, and let me know whether we can count you in.
